Move up one level with no health questions
Already enrolled? Increase by one plan level without a Statement of Health: up to $350,000 for you, $50,000 for your spouse or partner. If you waive it now, any increase needs a Statement of Health.
When health information is required
- During new-hire enrollment, guaranteed approval is available up to $350,000, if available up to that amount.
- After new-hire enrollment, adding or increasing coverage requires a Statement of Health and approval is not guaranteed.
- Previously approved coverage is retained when you request an increase.
- MetLife emails (company email) or mails (personal email) a health questionnaire; the election remains pending until a decision.
* A Statement of Health is required if you did not elect coverage when first eligible, or if you elect more than $350,000 when first eligible. The 2027 one-level increase exception shown above still applies.
